Mary is the Mother of God: She introduces us to the Heart of the Most Holy Trinity. Jesus on the cross offers us His Mother to be our mother.
“Mary is the easiest and most assured way to go to Jesus” St Bernard
The biblical word “consecration” means to give oneself to God to live in His Covenant. It is the offering of oneself to the Creator through Mary Immaculate. And Mary is the ‘woman chosen by God” (John 19,27) to rebuild this covenant that had been broken by sin. Through Her Assumption and her Coronation in Heaven, Mary remains in the Heart of the Holy Trinity, where Her Son has prepared a place for us.
“It is through Mary that the salvation of the world has begun and this is through Mary that it must be consummated….”
St Louis Marie Grignon de MontfortA life renewed in Mary finds its highest expression in the Consecration to Her Immaculate Heart, and through her, to the Most Holy Trinity. We receive Mary’s Heart and Mary’s glance on the poorest in the eyes of men… in order that the poorest can receive all our favour.
The consecration to Mary allows us to live in the bosom of our Mother in Heaven, with Jesus. And while dwelling in her, in a very gentle way, God will make us become immaculate too.
All what we can’t carry ourselves, we can offer it to her. And like during the Holy Sacrifice of Mass, through the consecration, all that is bitter, the bread of misery becomes sweet like the bread of angels.
